this is my final and completed shirt buttons and all it was useful to create i had trouble with the stitching on the collar but other than that good fun and easy to master :) i dont like the style of it and would change the material if asked to do it again...
this image i have found and links with my project of culture very strongly. the coulours and so bold and eyecatching they really stand out against the background of wispy sky which is lovely. i really love the detail that is on the fabric it helps to make this dress even more impressive.
this is an example of 3d work i created on illustrator this morning its very simple you can change the depth of it and the effect to the edges and all sorts.
these photos i took at home and in the new forest. i took them as research for my culture design project which i am basing on paganism and being influence by the british countryside and nature in a wild form.
This was created in illustration and its just a combination page with logos, labels and image to show the work i have been creating through illustrator. I tryed to make it as colourful as i could to make it look cheery, eye-catching and bold.
i got a bit carried away and created the different views of the garment i drew yesterday and added some detail to all of them but am happy with the angles i have drawn them in and i think im finally grasping illustrator yeyyyy !!
i created this illustration at the end of my illustrater slot and added a little more detail than i have in the past it helps it to look more realistic, this looks alot more effective.

we created out black and white paper project for our design day today it was so much fun and really interesting to work in paper it was hard but alot of fun and you can create some really dramatic work this is my dress i created from the final piece to the begginning stages! working in paper was a real challenge and pins are needed...
these are images of my bodice pattern being pinned and cut out of the calico fabric. we stitched and overlocked the garment together and then made the sleeves as well but will be attaching them next week and completing the bodice as well. i have to remember to check for the right side of the overlocking stich on the correct side!
PATTERN CUTTING friday - today we were creating a pattern for a simple bodice again but we modeled/draped it and then when we had created it on the manikin we took it apart and then made a paper pattern from it. i think i prefere this way of pattern cutting it is much more hands on and practical which is the way i seem to understand more. also this is the first time i have used designer tape which was so usefulll !! today was a really good day :)
Today we did our first pprd session which informed us about how we get assesed and all sorts of uni things. also we had more i.t work in one of the mac suits which was interesting because we got to create a moodboard on photoshop... i did mine on punk which was good and useful to learn i have used photoshop before but not in as much depth we have used it today! this is my moodboard on punk...
